Our client is a major employer in Portsmouth who is looking for a number of Welders to work on a major defence project. You will be working as part of a multi-skilled team responsible for undertaking a range of maintenance and repair work on naval vessels. You will have completed a recognised welding apprenticeship and have experience of both manual metal arc and metal arc gas shielded welding process using solid and flux core wires. Vacancy Description Having worked to Radiographic standards for both processes, Welding Ferrous and Non Ferrous Materials, you will be expected to undertake further training should the need arise for business benefits. You must be self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate good time keeping. The work is physically demanding and you will need to be a team player to ensure project deadlines are met.The basic salary is £20,996 with overtime premiums paid after 37 hours, as well as an uplift on shift work.You will be entitled to 193 Hours Holiday per annum, plus Bank Holidays, along with sick pay and a pension scheme.This is an excellent opportunity, apply now to avoid disappointment.
