What is the Role?
We have an urgent requirement for a Senior Project Manager to join our clients Swindon Projects Office. The postholder will perform the role of Project Manager for medium/large and /or complex rail related projects and will assist in bid preparation for new projects. You will be responsible for project teams based in Swindon and other UK offices. Acting as Scott Wilson’s internal project manager, you will be responsible for controlling and delivering a varied portfolio of concurrent projects. The projects will encompass a wide range of scope, phase and client.
You will be responsible for ensuring commercial, financial, quality and programme targets are met. Preparation of tender proposals, planning, monitoring and ensuring projects are controlled effectively and delivering projects to client’s satisfaction will be a key responsibility.
Our client is a market leader in the provision of multi-disciplinary services to the railway sector. Their skills are such that we are able to undertake multi-disciplinary railway projects worldwide. Focus on major projects is reflected by a current workload including no fewer than 11 major projects with a capital value in excess of £350m.

What Skills do I need?

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in engineering
· Ideally chartered but not essential
· Extensive Project Management experience preferably within the railways
· Good technical design knowledge
· Basic Project Management techniques
· Strong commercial and financial experience
