Large Public Sector organisation require a Project Engineer to assist with schemes randing from £10k - £1m.

It is essential that applicants have a strong understanding of the Mechanical & Electrical discipline as a number of the schemes will have a heavy M&E input.

Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to provide and receive complex information, exchange project related information with specialists.
* Capable of negotiating with Contractors and Suppliers on their designated projects and have the ability to to understand areas of difficulty and offer solutions.
* Able to demonstrate projects management experience on multi-disciplinary schemes.
* Able to demonstrate experience of managing/working with multi Contractor/multi-trade projects and managing budgets.
* Can demonstrate the ability to lead and manage projects teams
* Can demonstrate the knowledge of health and safety legislation and practice for staff and contractors.
* Able to provide judgement across capital development issues taking into account legislation, health and safety, conflicting demands and priorities.
* Can demonstrate ample IT skills and awareness of CAD drawings.

Responsibilities
* Capable of meeting representatives, understanding service requirements and capital development issues.
* Capable of managing day to day management of designated projects under the supervision of the Capital Development Manager or Senior Projects Manager, including appointment and oversight of contractors and performance management to the management control plan.
* Able to provide regular detail to permit the maintenance of Management Control Plans for their designated projects.
* Able to undertake the commissioning of building surveys and feasibilities under the supervision of the Capital Development Manager or a Senior Projects Manager.

It is important that you have access to a suitable vehicle during working hours from which to travel to multiple sites as necessary and re4main professional at all times.
