What is the Role?
As a Principal Bridge Design Engineer you will be required to assist in the production of quality engineering outputs. You will begin running a team of 4-5 people on a scheme of the Lancashire Link Road M6 project. This scheme has over 36 structures, 10 of which are major structures. It is due to this increase in workload that this branch requires a Principal level employee. You will participate in client meetings and presentations. The role will encompass resource, technical and commercial management and project management. You will be required to have experience within Bridges and/or Structures working on Rail and particularly Highway projects. The position is based out of Leeds but will involve some travel.
The position may suit a Senior Bridge Design Engineer looking to make the next step in their career into becoming a Principal Engineer.

You will be required to have the following:
· Varied project experience in financial control and management of projects
· Confident with proven interpersonal and communication skills

What Skills do I need?
· A degree in Civil Engineering CEng and MICE/MIStructE status or equivalent
· Previous experience in the design of Bridges and other Highway Structures
· Aptitude for structural analysis and design
· Proven ability to lead design teams and gain credibility across the business
· Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment
· Achieved Chartered status (not essential)
