A robust, market leading Rail Engineering Consultancy are starting to reinforce their core Rail Civils team in the North. They have a vacancy for a Civil Engineer with experience of the railway industry for their York Office. Their team of engineers and technicians is one of the most experienced working in the UK however are always looking to strengthen their position within the market.

· Manchester Metrolink
· Tee Valley Regeneration

· Felixstowe to Nuneaton Freight capacity enhancements (Network Rail)

What Skills do I need?
You will be Chartered or working toward chartered status, with good all round knowledge of design and detailing within the rail industry. Experience in design and assessment of existing structures is essential. Having previously worked in the railway environment is suitable but not essential as long as you can demonstrate a keen interest in learning new skills. You will be a good communicator and have the ability to develop into full management and leadership roles in the future. You will be required to carry out the following;
Undertaking site visits and surveys as necessary
Approvals of infrastructure design to LUL and network Rail standards
Producing technical reports
Design supervision of construction
coordinating drawings and design
