Senior Project Surveyor: Leeds: £35- 45,000 & Excellent Benefits package encompassing car or allowance.
As of this morning I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of the most recognised and respected brands in the construction and civil engineering industry. As part of the ongoing businesses planned growth I am recruiting for a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to come in support of the Commercial Team responsible for the Education Sector.
At any one time within the education sector the combined projects total £25-50 million working on diverse business streams in schools, universities and sports environments. Current works include a £15 million new development and new build for a local secondary school and a £7 million pound new build development of specialist sports and schools complex in Gateshead.
The role of Project Surveyor will require this person to take full responsibility for selected projects by managing small teams and being responsible for contractual responsibilities for the build.
Some of the basic role responsibilities will be:
· Responsible for the management and performance measurement of the supply chain within cost parameters
· Responsible for assessing, reviewing and negotiating contractual arrangements with clients
· Producing and providing contract valuations
· Responsible for allocation of tasks to junior members of staff and reviewing progress/accuracy.
· Preparing interim valuations
· Organising the preparation of final accounts
· Organise production of cost certainty budgets
What I am looking for are ambitious candidates who are going to be comfortable running projects from tender through to completion and managing other members of the team. This position is working within a specific business stream and so exposure to this area will help but most importantly is the desire to specialise and push this business area moving forward.
