Contracts Manager- Civil Engineering Contractor- Yorkshire & North East
About the company- Our Client is currently one of the UK's most successful Civil Engineering Contractors. With a group turnover of around £8bn per annum our clients' ongoing growth and consequent success is well assured into the next millennium. Currently working successfully in a number of sectors- rail, utilities, infrastructure, heavy Civil Engineering, marine works, our client is seeking a candidate who has the ability to succeed and grow in this flourishing organisation. As well as projects in the United Kingdom our client is currently working on projects in Europe, The Americas and the Middle East.
About the role- We are currently seeking candidates who can manage varied and diverse business units on a regional basis. Contacts Managers are required for the North/North West and the East/West Midlands. You will be at the helm of existing and already successful teams. This requires candidates who will not be ‘fazed' by a challenge. These teams will need to grow – sometimes into areas where they are relatively inexperienced. Our client is developing a multi – disciplinary workforce who can complete any given project at the drop of a hat. You will also be responsible for business development (bonus structure in place) and commercial leadership of these projects. This is certainly not a role for the faint hearted but the benefits will be clear to see.
Benefits and rewards- Along with an exceptional basic salary the company provides an attractive benefits package. Most importantly this is an opportunity to join a successful and developing contractor at the right time. Contracts Management is only the first step- Directorship is a possibility for those running successful business units. Our client also believes in a healthy work/life balance and a positive working atmosphere. All in all this is an opportunity for already successful candidates to truly take their career to the next level.
Requirements- A successful track record in any Civil Engineering discipline is required firstly. This ideally will be demonstrable – visible results etc. Ideally you will have a Civil Engineering degree background and a strong technical mindset. If not degree qualified you will have gained your knowledge through experience and this is equally as essential for the role. If already in a Contracts Management position or ready to step up from Project Manager perhaps this is an ideal role to further challenge and reward you.
