My client is a major Civil Engineering Contractor with a proven and extensive civil engineering and project management ability, delivering engineering excellence through cost-efficient, client focused solutions at a regional level from minor works through to major civil engineering projects.
Their Southern Division has been successful in delivering a number of high profile projects and to accommodate available workload and future expansion we have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Works Designer.
Responsibilities
·Preparation of temporary works designs for both tenders & contracts – Temporary structures to include heavy falseworks, cofferdams, access platforms, and lifting equipment.
·Preparation of formwork layouts.
·Preparation of outline construction methodologies including traffic management and earthworks strategies
·Provision of technical support to contracts.
Requirements
·BSc/ BEng qualified Civil Engineer
·Ability to design in Steel, RC, Earth, Masonry and Timber
·Previous temporary works design experience on civil engineering projects including highways/road, bridges, structures, etc
·Ability to work autonomously yet within a bid team
·Ability to produce imaginative and innovative designs
