Role: DESIGN ENGINEER
Purpose: To take a central role in the development of design projects within the internal design department.
Skills and Experience:
(Essential)
- Minimum 5 years experience in the design of civil engineering structures
- Minimum 3 years experience in the design and assessment of railway underbridges and other bridge structures. This should include the planning and undertaking of condition surveys for assessment.
- Knowledge of Network Rail Company and line standards for the design and assessment of railway underbridges and other bridge structures.
- Understanding the importance of achieving customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest level of standards.
- Awareness of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of the design process.
- Pride and enthusiasm for work/
- Be fully competent and have extensive experience in the production of construction related drawings.
-The ability to take instruction or sketches and produce unambiguous working drawings to a high standard of accuracy in appropriate format, and to agreed timescales.

- Working towards Chartered status.
Competencies:
- Familiarity with technical design issues.
- Familiarity with structural design / assessment packages including ArchieM, Superstress, H-Load, SCALE, TEDDS, RING etc
