We are looking for a Commercial Manager to work for the railways division of a specialist design consultancy based in the Midlands. You will Provide commercial advice and guidance to the Global Rail Leader Rail, and to the Rail Business in Europe Region. Promulgate best practice across the Global Business.
Manage the commercial aspects of significant bids as directed.
Manage the commercial aspects of the Network Rail, TfL, DfT, and Transport Scotland framework agreements for the Rail Business, maintaining commercial dialogue with clients, and internal records of decisions, precedents, and activity.
Provide expertise in the commercial management of Design & Build contracts.
Undertake Commercial Manager responsibilities on allocated projects, including claims and variations.
You will maintain close internal relationships with Framework, Bid, and Project Managers, together with financial administrators in all company offices undertaking bids under framework agreements, and major rail bids across the world.
You will have had significant commercial experience, possibly in a supporting position to a lead commercial manager.
You will be academically and/or professionally qualified as an accountant, quantity surveyor, or engineer, and including specific expertise in engineering contract procedure, together with good negotiating skills.
You should have a good working knowledge of the principal forms of standard contract used in the construction and building industries. |
