Our Client is one of the leading Civil Engineering contractors in the UK. They turnover in excess of 700m and undertake the full range of civil engineering activities. Their current projects include some of the most prestigious contracts currently in the UK. This is a high profile, established company who has an excellent reputation within the industry. Job Description

They are currently looking to recruit an Agent to work within their Midlands region

Your Key Activities include:

• Set personal example in health, safety & environmental matters by ensuring compliance with Company policies & procedures, & personal safety tours.
• Manage, supervise & mentor the project team as appropriate.
• Adopt, maintain & promote cost-conscious management through efficient use of all resources.
• Establish, maintain & monitor an effective, programme based cost management system, to facilitate control with reliable QF preparation.
• Ensure realistic short, medium & contract programmes are prepared, reviewed & updated.
• Ensure method statements & risk assessments are prepared, briefed, reviewed & updated.
• Ensure all records for measurement & payment purposes are prepared promptly, in appropriate form.
• Use recorded weekly internal progress meetings to communicate with all levels of the team.
• Keep off-site line management apprised of potential problems & future work opportunities.
• Establish & maintain close working relationship with buying department to ensure compliant advantageous procurement terms.
• Establish close working relationship with general foreman to ensure cost-effective use of labour & plant.

Candidate Requirements

• Successful management of a section of a major project, or acting as sub-agent on a similar project.
• Structures experience would be an advantage.
• Thorough knowledge of Company policy & relevant government legislation.
• Qualified to ICE Chartered level or equivalent (preferred).
