We are looking for a T&C Engineer to work on a large rail project in Rugby. You will develop testing and commissioning strategies, plans and programmes for the entire project scope, including distribution sites in classic feeding mode, interfaces with new ESI supply points, changeover programmes to AT feeding and section proving overhead line equipment. To develop the system testing programme for each feeder area and act as Test Engineer during testing possessions.
·Assist with the development of the testing and commissioning strategies and changeover for the entire project scope of works, including distribution sites in classic feeding mode, interfaces with new ESI supply points, changeover programmes to AT feeding and section proving overhead line equipment.
·Produce system test specifications and plans to ensure that the project’s safety cases are supported in confirming closure of identified system hazards.
·Identify the system testing requirements for Project Hilton and subsequent feeding areas.
·Produce test plans to ensure that the tests are executed safely and maximum benefit is gained from the available test possession.
·Develop the classic/AT changeover philosophy for each feeding area and thereby determine the distribution site commissioning strategy.
·Ensure possessions identified for testing and changeover.
·Manage on site system testing and changeover activities / resources and act as Test Engineer during system testing and changeover possessions.
·Identify each distribution site commissioning requirements, including SCADA/Telecoms and ensure that all suppliers’ test plans are integrated with the project programme, delivered safely and with minimum impact on existing services.
·Co-ordinate and witness on site testing to support the integration of the testing and commissioning requirements of all contractors internal and external needs.
Identify and witness product acceptance tests in support of design and product approval.
·Ensure specialist testing resources are identified and test specifications produced. Comply with procurement and commercial processes to obtain such resources.
·Liason with Network Rail Territory Engineers and West Cost Engineering to ensure that the Testing and Commissioning of the new Autotransformer feeding arrangements is carried out without disruption to services
Co-ordinate with O&M Manager for the provision of operational documentation including isolation diagrams and instructions, normal and emergency feeding instructions, /electrical control room instructions and ESI/railway supply operation instructions to cover final and all stage implementations |
