Job Summary

Our Rail Systems Consultancy Group, embrace all aspects of rail electrical systems design, including electrification, EMC, signalling, telecoms and systems integration. We are looking for keen individuals wishing to develop their career in Rail Systems Engineering who, with the appropriate level of supervision, will create engineering designs for a variety of systems projects. We currently have exciting opportunities within our Rail Systems Consultancy division for Engineering Assistants within our Birmingham and York office.

Responsibilities

Assist in the planning of and take part in lineside infrastructure surveys
Contribute to the delivery of engineering designs
Assist with preparation of technical reports, specifications and tender documents
Produce Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings

Requirements

HNC/HND qualification in electrical/electronic engineering or related discipline (or equivalent)
Confident user of Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel)
Experience working in similar role previously
Experience using CAD packages would be an advantage, but not essential
A Team player, who is able to show initative and work independently when required
Excellent communications skills
