Job Summary
From excellence in engineering design, infrastructure and rail vehicles, to programme management of multi-discipline investment projects, Atkins Rail provides its customers with services covering every aspect of global rail operations.
Responsibilities
- To provide quantity surveying assistance where required in the execution of basic office, technical and surveying functions
- Numerical functions and preparation of project/commercial documentation
- Elementary surveying duties in relation to both pre and post contract duties
- Responsible under guidance of Team Leader or Senior for small/non complex projects or assistance on larger/more complex projects
Requirements
- Bsc or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- MRICS with significant Rail experience
- Numerically accurate
- Logical and concise application of technical surveying principles as directed and under guidance
- Continual improvement in the general knowledge of the construction industry
- Awareness of contractual obligations, breaches and remedies
- Competent of taking ownership of small projects with minimum supervision
- IT literate in Word, Excel and estimating/measurement/cost control software
