What is the Role?

Currently seeking an experienced CAD technician to work within the bridges team. You will be called upon to produce designs for a wide range of projects including scheme assessments, construction drawings for bridges and associated structures. You must be practised in preparing schedules of quantities and liasing with other sectors of the business, keeping the clients informed of all developments related to their project.

§ Annual Leave: 20 days annual leave per annum rising by 1 day per full year of service to a maximum of 25 days per annum.
§ Pension Scheme: A Group Personal Pension scheme operated by Standard Life. The minimum payment for an employee's contribution is 5% of base salary, which the company then matches. The employee can contribute more if he/she wishes.
§ Life Assurance: Members of the pension scheme will automatically have life cover at 3 times salary.
§ Sick Pay: From commencement of employment 10 days sick pay per annum is paid with any untaken days accruing on a rolling basis. Sick days can be taken and used for the care of immediate family members.
§ Relevant professional membership fees will be paid.
§ Exam Leave: Special leave will be granted to sit exams, which will lead to a relevant professional qualification.

What Skills do I need?

The ideal applicant will have or be working towards a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification, have a minimum of 2 years professional experience and be a skilled AutoCAD user. You will also need to have good written and verbal communication skills.
