TOP LEVEL SUMMARY
• Project Management Support to the A400M Wing CoE
• Support to A400M Wing CoE P&PM leader
REMARKS & MAJOR PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED IN THE POSITION
• Provide support to the Wing CoE P&PM leader to enable them to monitor and control the Wing Programme
• To derive and maintain plans for the Wing CoE highlighting critical path
• Establish and maintain work schedules that are deliverable focused
• Establish and maintain KPI’s to measure tangible deliverables and their benefits
• Monitoring of progress and the production of reports focusing on deviation from baseline
• To expedite monitoring and reporting actions among the project team
• To support process development and implementation as required
• Increase profile of Risk Management in A400M Wing CoE and support the establishment of best practice.
• Monitor and report on status of top-level Risks in Wing CoE.
• To liaise with stakeholders outside of AUK on all aspects of A400M project management in order to share best practice and lessons learnt
• Support all teams in any aspect of project management as necessary
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Establishment and maintenance of a Project Management Toolset (baseline and actual data), to be adapted to the size and complexity of the projects at required intervals, specifically:
• Master plans for Wing level and below
• AIRMIS Risk register for all levels (capture, monitoring, action tracking/chasing, escalation)
• Interface management reporting
• MS Project Schedules
• Cost and resource charts
• Earned Value Analysis
• Key Performance Indicators
• Clear definition and status of deliverables
• Regular reporting and collation of project status (Time, Cost & Deliverables)
• Communication/escalation of issues
• Higher level reporting.
Monitor Programme progress using the above tool set, and advise on status and corrective actions as applicable.
Risk Management (capture, monitoring, action tracking/chasing, review & escalation including advice on mitigations and actions to be undertaken)
Establishment of clear Communication channels and messages through Programme and Company routes.
MAJOR END RESULTS
• Robust project definition and framework for successful project execution by robust schedules and clear definition of all deliverables, acceptance criteria and KPI.
• Clear understanding of anticipated Risks with robust mitigation planning, contingency or acceptance criteria in place.
• Adequate control and monitoring to facilitate the planning of any corrective action in a timely manner.
• Clear reporting and communication to stakeholders.
• Monitored delivery of final deliverables in accordance with the baseline: On time, to cost and to clearly defined quality acceptance criteria.
