My client, a multi-disciplinary railway consultancy is looking to recruit a temporary Project Manager for rail related projects in their Swindon office.
Duties/Responsibilities included in this role are:
Responsible for project team based in Swindon
Providing project management support for rail related projects.
Assisting in bid preparation for new projects.
Working with project teams in other offices.
Acting as an internal project manager.
Working on a varied portfolio of concurrent projects.
Ensuring commercial, financial, quality and programme targets are met.
Preparation of tender proposals
Planning, monitoring and ensuring projects are controlled effectively
Delivering projects to client's satisfaction
Negotiating commercial, financial and contractual arrangements and change management at project level.
Personal requirements are:
A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or in a a technically relevant subject
Chartered status or working towards Chartership
Project management experience is essential (rail related experience preferred)
Experience in managing teams whether internal or client teams is required.
Extensive knowledge of the technical aspects of the design office environment
