Sub Contract Coordinator
LOCATION - FILTON, BRISTOL, SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE, SOUTH WEST
PAY RATE - £20 - £25PH LTD
CONTRACT - secondment basis of up to 12 months
Reporting to the Business Planning Controller (FCVYL) the jobholder will be responsible for the Coordination of all Sub-Contracted activity within the Landing Gear Centre of Competence (CoC). Working within the Landing Gear CoC Business Planning and Control Team you will have responsibility for the successful sourcing and deployment of staff to respective aircraft programs and the identification and outsourcing of Landing Gear related work packages.
The role is on a secondment basis of up to 12 months covering for maternity leave.
Task
The jobholder will be responsible for the following key activities:
Provide guidance in the formulation of Subcontracting strategy (including Outsourcing) for all Domains
Act as a focal point for all Subcontract issues in the Centre and be able to coach and develop Landing Gear Centre personnel in ‘Best Practice’ Subcontract Management.
Identify sources of Subcontract labour that satisfy the specific Landing Gear Centre requirements, whilst optimising the costs and value received.
The management and interface with the Prime Subcontract suppliers.
The sourcing and deployment of suitable candidates to meet the requirements of the domains within the CoC
The development and maintenance of all contractual records and documentation.
The regular reporting of the subcontract status for all domains within the CoC
Ensure close liaison with Procurement and Finance functions to maintain their support of the overall Subcontracting process.
To facilitate regular performance reviews of the Subcontracting Companies in conjunction with the Airbus scorecard process and involving the local CoC Management team
Ensure Compliance with relevant Airbus Subcontracting procedures and Processes across all activities
Facilitate the implementation of Power 8 requirements to the Subcontracting operation
Participation in Committees / Centre representation
The jobholder will be required to represent the views of the Landing Gear Centre regarding the Subcontracting Strategy adopted. This will involve liaison with Procurement, HR and Subcontracting Companies on a National and Trans-national basis
