What is the Role?
We currently has a new opportunity for a Senior Rail Engineer in order to help successfully deliver civil and structural engineering solutions to a range of clients in the South West. This is an exciting and challenging role within a supportive team, with a buoyant workload and a variety of challenges. The role is to be based from our clients Bristol office.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following key activities:
· Production of outline and detailed design solutions
· Report writing.
· Use of design software, including SuperStress.
· Hand calculations.
· Management of CAD resources
· Mentorship of junior staff.
· Client liaison
· Liaise with internal and external sub contractors
· Involvement with cost management, tenders, invoicing of projects
· Client presentations
· Supervision of site work
· Undertake safety critical responsibilities within a railway environment.

What Skills do I need?
· Practical experience of civil engineering works, preferably within a consultancy environment, including:
· Bridge / structures design and / or assessment
· Bridge / structures inspection
· Drainage and earthworks design and remediation
· Surveying / setting out
· Experience of managing programmes of work on-time and within budget
· Experience of the rail industry would be advantageous, but is not essential
