What is the Role?
Experienced Bridge Engineers are required to join our Civil & Structural Engineering Team in Swindon. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to assist the Section Manager to further develop the existing bridges section in Swindon. You will be responsible for the design/assessment of bridges with respect to projects in the Railway environment.
This will include;
· Bridge design in concrete, steel or composite
· Bridge assessments
· You will also be responsible for compiling fee bids for single and multi-discipline projects
· You will mentor junior engineers and graduates
· Assist the Section Manager to ensure that designs are compiled diligently

Focus on major projects is reflected by a current workload including no fewer than 11 major projects with a capital value in excess of £350m.

What Skills do I need?
Essential Skills/Experience Required:
Proven experience of bridge design and construction preferably involving railway structures
Good leadership and mentoring skills
Educated to Degree level or equivalent
Experience of structural analysis software in connection with bridge structures
Desirable Skills/Experience Required:
Chartered Engineer (MICE)
General railway civil engineering experience
Some project management experience
