What is the Role?

Experiences Rail Construction Manager required to work from Swindon office with skills to undertake site supervision and Project Management services in the operational railway environment. The team has extensive experience in the supervision and project management of many differing railway projects including:

· Bridge replacement and repairs
· Platform and station improvements and steel fabrication inspections.
· Demolition work
· Building refurbishment
· Rail depots and sidings
· Embankment stabilisation
· Asset protection duties

You will be responsible for the management and development of the Construction Management team in Swindon. You will also be involved in the management of the Civil Engineering and Construction Management group.

You will have responsibility for recruitment and management of staff on Construction Management projects and management or control of the associated projects relating to staff employment. You will also be responsible for the development and management of business opportunities.

What Skills do I need?

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

Proven experience of leading and developing a technical team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of the Railway industry
Experience of site activities

Desirable Skills/Experience Required:

Chartered Engineer
Educated to Degree level or equivalent
General site experience
Good commercial awareness
Good project management experience
