Senior Maritime Engineer, Plymouth

An international consulting business, based in the UK, is looking to appoint a Senior Maritime Engineer to join them at their office in Plymouth. This award winning consultancy group has doubled in size in recent years, and now has 80 offices worldwide (with 40 in the UK). They provide an integrated range of engineering, environmental, planning and management consulting services to the transport, property, development, environmental, water and renewable energy sectors.

About the Role
They require a senior engineer to work alongside our Resident Engineer to coordinate ongoing design and site works. You will also be working in a resident engineer capacity and will be required to coordinate design issues between Site and the design office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-established, fully competent professional to join one of our key discipline groups. The role involves significant project responsibility with the jobholder leading projects with considerable impact, proactively managing change requests and identifying risks. The role also involves delivering presentations as a technical expert to peer groups, senior management, clients and suppliers.

About You
You should be a chartered engineer with marine and coastal design experience – particularly with quay walls, shipways, marinas, or pontoons. We are looking for candidates who have experience of UK or Western working practices.
