What is the Role?
As a Building Structures Engineer you will be joining and ensuring the smooth running of an existing team of engineers. You will need to be involved in the managerial aspect of running the team. Other responsibilities of yours will be the management of fees and to ensure that existing client relationships are maintained, as well as new clients are created.
However, your main responsibility will be designing. You will be working within a multi-project environment, and you will need to be able to amend existing and create new building structures designs. These designs will be from both the UK and overseas property markets and will include the design of buildings, offices, telecoms, and civil structures using all materials such as steel frames and reinforced concrete. You will need to have experience in dealing with UK standards and routines on a variety of projects and therefore the majority of your experience will need to be within a UK consultancy.
The company are expecting to begin a large project in the near future, and are recruiting heavily at senior level. This could therefore be a good opportunity for an engineer to take a ‘step up’ in their career through moving.
