Description
Working on a mixture of Feasibility, Outline and Detailed Design projects for Permanent Way schemes within the Rail environment.
Reporting to the Associate the successful candidate will be able manage a team of up to 6 staff including Senior Engineers, Engineers, Graduates & CAD technicians to deliver Detailed Design, Outline Design and Feasibility reports, Inspections, Drawings, Specifications etc for Permanent Way schemes, fully conversant with MX Rail or similar, Hallade, Clear Route, Gauging schemes and knowledge of or understanding of topographical surveys and track improvements. Project financial skills will be required to manage budgets and instruct Invoicing. Good communication skills are required as the role will require liaison with Clients on projects.
Work as a part of a multifunctional Rail team.
Skills:
Able to work without supervision.
Able to lead a small team of engineers.
Able to produce neat clear calculations in a structured format.
Conversant with MX Rail or similar.
Qualifications:
Civil Engineering degree or Chartered Engineer.
Personal Qualities:
Good communication skills
Good leadership skills
Self starter
Team player.
Should have extensive post Graduate work experience with a Consultant or Contractor focused on design, delivery and a solid permanent way background or bias within the Rail industry
