What is the Role?
We presently have some excellent positions within a leading international consultancy dedicated to Infrastructure and Utilities. They specialize in Rail, Highway Design and Supervision, Highway Operation and Maintenance, Bridges and Civils, Water, Network Communications and Mobile Communications.
They are now looking for Senior / Principal Engineers to work within their growing Rail team in Basingstoke. You will be required to have experience in the design of structures and / or civil infrastructure and project management of major Railway Projects whilst reporting to the Technical Director.
Technical capability in structural design and/or civil infrastructure (e.g. drainage, services, etc). Permanent Way/Rail related experience an advantage.
Experience in the design of railway structures and/or civil infrastructure in particular knowledge of the Network Rail procedures and processes.
Who are the likely candidates?
As a likely candidate you should have a related degree and also working towards chartered status or already chartered. Full help will be given to those who require it to gain additional experience to become chartered.
The successful candidate will have initiative and the confidence to deal with outside parties including client project managers, sub-consultants and other external authorities.
What Skills do I need?
· Technical ability in structural design
· Design of rail bridges
· Civil Infrastructure design including drainage, P-Way and other rail
· Design of railway structures
· Knowledge of Network Rail procedures and processes
