My client is looking for an experienced Hydraulic Modelling Engineer with at least 3 years experience to be based in the South East London area. You will be responsible to carry out any distribution system assessments by using Info Works hydraulic models of new developments and system changes that may be required.
While reporting to the Strategy Engineer as well as working closely with Asset Planners, Senior GIS Technicians, Engineering and Operations Teams as well as external consultants you will be required to:
• Produce reports on pressures and any network reinforcements needed.
• Assess network performance resulting from network changes including PRV installations and installation of new pipes.
• Monitor low pressure problems in the network and assess potential solutions to resolve them. Support the Leakage Manager with data gathering from data loggers.
• Manage the model updating process in conjunction with the Senior GIS Technician.
• Develop models using a long term strategic view to assess future network requirements. Including Periodic Review business planning and liaison with relevant consultants.
The key qualifications and experience you will need are as follows:
• Graduate in an engineering discipline with at least 3 years experience.
• Working knowledge of Wallingford Info Works will be essential for you.
• Consistent application in related work.
• Strong technical understanding of network hydraulics.
• Ability to prioritize and program tasks systematically.
• Ability to write clear and concise reports.
• Good communication skills.
• Good IT and analytical skills.
• And also the ability to work unsupervised and to produce quality outputs to required dates. |
