Job Description:
A Systems Engineers is needed to join a growing System Engineering department. Flexibility on skills will open this position to a trained individual who may have worked in a Defence organisation. Working as part of a multi-disciplined team, the system engineer will be involved at every phase of the product lifecycle from requirement through design, integration, trials, production and delivery to the customer.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Undertake requirements capture and management
Manage the functional design and responsibility for significant systems design decisions and sub-system level analysis tasks
Undertake general systems engineering activities
Provide support to design certification.
Manage changes to the solution/design while continuing to communicate the changes to the team
Manage and communicate issues to senior management
Deliver to agreed performance targets
Using technical expertise to solve problems and generate ideas within the team
Support bid preparation and work closely with other key member s i.e. Business development team, Bid manager and Project management team
Essential Skills:
Ability to think at the systems level. Ability/flexibility to support all stages of the systems engineering/project life-cycle. Technical problem solving
Desirable Skills:
Experience of working with Requirements engineering tools (DOORS), Mathematical analysis tools (Matlab/Simulink), system design tools (MODAF/UML). Experience gained within System Design/System Architectures. Knowledge of EW systems/ EW domain
Essential Experience:
Self motivated team player capable of working with minimum direction
Desirable Experience:
Execution of systems engineering process, including requirements management, systems analysis/design, system integration and test and acceptance. Preparation of systems documentation, including system requirement specifications, system architecture specifications, system design specifications, system test plans, system test specifications.

Excellent communication skills. Team player. Drive and Commitment, maintaining high standards. Ability to produce clear concise technical design documentation. Be prepared to travel and work from different locations occasionally.
