Our client is a market leading specialist engineering organisation. They are now seeking railway signalling engineers to provide input on their project portfolio, which consists of detailed design and engineering consultancy services.
You will be responsible for design input for signalling work packages and providing technical support and assistance to rail infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the effective delivery of tasks assigned, in particular:
• Delivery of engineering (design and consultancy) specific tasks
• Contribution to the engineering input to multi-disciplinary railway engineering projects
• Observation of company quality, health & safety, environmental, commercial and project management disciplines and procedures
The client offers a wide range of signalling resources, including:
• Design
• Installation
• Testing
• Civil engineering works
• Level crossing replacement
• Minor renewals
• Interlocking replacement
• Control system testing
• TASS Testing
• Correlation
• SICA Assessments
There are opportunities at various locations around the UK for the successful candidate, who will at first be based in Bedford before the design function is moved to Stevenage in due course.
Candidates should possess the following criteria:
• IRSE 1.1.150C Signalling Designer license, with experience of the signalling design process
• Good level of education including 5 GCSEs
• Good CAD and IT skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft computing packages
• Microstation CAD designer skills
• Control systems engineering
