regulationsre seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to assist in the supervision of a range of term and other maintenance contracts servicing our public buildings and schools. We are based in East London, near Barking
Operating within a multi skilled maintenance team, the work will involve inspections, condition monitoring, work planning, production of technical reports, cost & quality control, dealing with enquiries and liaising with a range of specialist and non technical staff.
You will have a thorough knowledge and understanding of Electrical services and systems across a wide spectrum including Lifts and Access platforms. You will also be familiar with the Health and Safety at Work Act and have an understanding of CDM Regulations. You must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and other data basis.
This is a challenging opportunity where you will need to be a good supervisor, well organised, an excellent communicator, calm under pressure, have a hands on approach and develop ‘on the spot' solutions to problems as they arise.
You should be prepared to participate in an out of hours on call rota.
You will hold a technician level Electrical Engineering Certificate such as ONC, City and Guilds FTC or equivalent and a Certificate on the New 17th Edition of the IEE Regulations.
A full driving licence and vehicle available for work is essential
