This division is one of the UKs leading specialist piling and ground engineering company. They currently have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor for the Major Project division.
The overriding responsibility of the Area Quantity Surveyor is to use your commercial knowledge to liaise with clients to achieve contract commercial completion and agreement of final accounts.
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
To ensure Health, Safety and Environment on our sites is maintained to the Company and Legislative Standards in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
Identification and valuation of variations.
Applications for payment and cash collection.
EOT/L&E claim preparation, submission, negotiation and settlement.
Preparation and agreement of final accounts.
Contractual correspondence and notices e.g. ECC early warnings etc.
Subcontract payment/ accounting and letting and negotiating of subcontract packages/rates.
Internal and external financial reporting – monthly reports, P&L, forecasts etc.
Estimating smaller tenders <£500k and estimating of larger tenders within a tender team, including issuing and evaluation of subcontract packages.
Delegation and management of trainee(s) etc.
You will report to the Area Manager as set out in the Area Team Structure.
