Our client is part of a large group who service the construction and civil engineering sectors as a whole. They are a £b turnover group who are well respected worldwide.
This division is one of the UKs leading specialist piling and ground engineering company. They currently have a requirement for an Project Manager/Engineer for the Ground Engineering division.

The responsibility of the Project Manager/Engineer is to manage contracts using your extensive contract and management experience, to ensure that client needs are met, all health and safety, and environmental standards are adhered to, and work is completed to tender.

Roles and responsibilities:

Within this context your specific individual roles and responsibilities are seen to be

To ensure Health, Safety and Environment on our sites is maintained to the Company and Legislative Standards in accordance with our Company Health and Safety Policy and through implementation SHEPS
To ensure site implementation of the Company Quality Control Procedures and Controls.
To ensure correct completion and review with the Construction Supervisor and Operation Team Leader, on a weekly basis, of the Production Control and Production Control Analysis Sheet for each of your contracts.
To ensure completion of the Early Warning / Contract Information Sheet and Plant / Internal Requisition Sheets in conjunction with your Area Resource Manager and Operation Team Leader five working days prior to site commencement.
To ensure completion of the Advanced Contract Information (ACI) in conjunction with your Area Manager five working days prior to site commencement.
To ensure the correct design information has been checked in accordance with the Quality Procedures.
To ensure that all relevant contract information is conveyed to the Construction Supervisor, in writing, prior to contract commencement.
To ensure that a handover / briefing has been undertaken from Proposals to Operations and Commercial.
To liaise with the Construction Supervisor and the Resource Manager to ensure that the correct resources are carrying out the project.
To liaise with the Purchasing Team to ensure that the correct materials and external resources are being used to undertake the project.
Liaise with Clients / Engineers / Main Contractors during the progress of our works. Specific contracts may involve liaising with the public / local authorities / building controls.
To liaise with Proposals on Area tendering and estimating.
To liaise with the Commercial Team regarding Contract Documents and payment of accounts and the timely preparation of records documenting changes to our work.
To manage and liaise with Contracts Engineer's during the progress of a Project.
