Positions available in the field of Tunnel Ventilation will afford opportunities commensurate with a company of such size. Atkins has an impressive current portfolio of prestigious road, rail tunnel projects in the UK and internationally including projects in London, Dubai and South Africa and seeks to expand the current team of dedicated technical specialists to deliver these exciting commissions, and to extend their capability in underground technology further within the UK and worldwide.We have opportinities from Graduate to Senior level and all positions are offered as permanent.
Requirements
Candidates should have: - Good academic background with a science, mathematics or engineering bachelors or masters degree
- Commensurate experience of tunnel ventilation and life-safety design, gained in road, rail and/or metro tunnelling schemes (graduates with appropriate academic background and an interest in this field are encouraged to apply)
- Proven numeracy skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills, (clear, concise report writing will be expected)
- High motivation to succeed, and to progress and develop their chosen careers
- A personality compatible with a high degree of collaborative and team work
- A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas
