Currently required is an experienced Civil Engineer to work on a Power Generation project in the capacity of Resident Engineer.
Responsibilities/Duties:
To provide Health, Safety & Environmental surveillance when present on Site in respect to the execution of Site activities irrespective of discipline.
To receive and action Civil Engineering/Construction related STQs/RFIs from either the Civil Works Sub-contractors or from the Civil Construction Team. Referrals to Jacob's or Client Engineering ‘off-site' only where considered essential.
Provide technical support to the Civil Construction Team and Civil Works Sub-contractors in support of civil constructability.
To provide field design support to supplement existing designs as necessary.
To provide field design support for new design.
To certify civil execution design documents/drawings CFC or RFC, as necessary.
To provide technical clarification of all civil execution documents/drawings in support of the Civil Construction Team and Civil Works Sub-contractors.
To manage and implement the ‘Site Design Change Control' procedures for Civil Design in conjunction with the STO.
To carry out any other duties as directed by the Civil Works Manager.
10 years previous experience in similar roles must be demonstrated.
