We are currently working on behalf of one of the largest shopfitting companies in the UK. They cover a huge variety of projects, from the roll out of national programmes, to local fit-out and refurbishment projects. The company's Fit-out division requires a professional and self-motivated individual to undertake the role of Quantity Surveyor (the role would suit a PQS). This role will support the Fit-out Business Unit in Edinburgh and will be responsible for the management of all commercial and contractual issues of each project, keeping contracts within budget. Main duties will include invoicing, re-measurements, pricing and month end accounting.
You will be paid up to £40k dependant on experience, with the added benefits of AXA Healthcare, pension scheme, £6000 car allowance, 33 days holiday, and free gym facilities and personal trainer.
The ideal applicant will have worked on several projects at once and have strong organisational, communicational and negotiating skills. They will have a methodical approach and be commercially aware. You will have the ability to work both individually and within a team environment. The ideal candidate will have broad construction experience and preferably a good level of experience within the ‘fit-out / refurbishment' industry.
