An experienced electrical engineer is required to join our Railway Electrification & Power Engineering Unit in Glasgow. You will undertake design, supervision and management of a wide range of electrical distribution, control systems and building services projects.
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out conceptual design, detailed design and supervision of a wide variety of electrical and/or mechanical infrastructure and building services projects
- Directing the preparation of drawings for schematic and detailed design
- Acting as Assistant Project Manager on a wide variety of single discipline and multi-disciplinary projects
About You
You will be a Chartered Engineer/Incorporated Engineer with a BEng or BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. MIET MIMechE is desirable.
Design experience in electrical distribution, generation and utilisation, and/or building services including specification, site working and testing, asset acceptance & standards is required. REC interaction experience, HV/LV distribution and control and previous experience of design of mechanical service systems such as heating and ventilation, tanked and water systems is required.
