Factory Supervisor – Ref BB-FACSUP-43-MT
One of the country's leading civils contractor, they design and construct foundations for all types of buildings, structures and civil engineering works. Extensive experience of piling techniques, in addition to diaphragm walling and ground improvement utilising environmental techniques.
Factory Supervisor – you will be responsible for the efficient running of the precast concrete pile production facility for the Glasgow area and HSEQ implementation in factory.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
•Liaise with Factory Manager for Daily Production
•Daily production board, production schedules
•Allocating stock to contracts
•Input – Daily production, Daily Deliveries & Cube Results
•Production Input into Bartec
•Order daily concrete ,type and quantities
•Input Goods Received Notes
•Monitor labour productivity and report to Factory Manager
•Use Bartec system for stocktaking, reports weekly and monthly
•Organise stocktaking
•Supervise factory workforce using company I.R and Equal Opportunities policies
•Fill in weekly time sheets, calculate bonus and report to Factory Manager for approval
•Implementation of companies procedures in HSEQ and monitor performance
•Order ancillary stock, packings, gas oil, mould oil etc and control stores
•Carry out tool box talks, briefings and training
•Carry out Factory Safety Inspections
•Monitor performance of cranes, Lifting equipment etc
•Any other duties which may be reasonably asked
Skills Required: Essential:
•Possess a good level of numeracy and be analytical in nature
•Computer literate particularly in EXCEL
•Ability to cope with deadlines
•Able to work with minimum supervision
•Be self motivating
•Be a good team leader
Education and/or experience: Essential
•Have a manufacturing, production background
•Must have a full UK driving licence
•Proven experience in a similar role
Education and/or experience: Desirable:
•Has past experience of precast concrete pile production methods
