Lead Engineer Naval Architect
Job Purpose:
To undertake Naval Architecture tasks within WDS Concepts and Assessments to support the development of ship concepts and design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
To support the delivery of Naval Architecture tasks within WDS including the development of ship concepts and design solutions, the assessment and presentation of design solutions and the preparation of Studies, Reports and Specifications. Typical tasks would include hydrodynamic, stability, seakeeping, manoeuvring and structural analysis.
To provide specialist advice and guidance on Naval Architecture issues.
To support business development and marketing activities with existing and prospective Customers.
To assist in the preparation of scopes of work.
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will be working in a multi discipline team and will be expected to manage interfaces with other disciplines. They will also be expected to communicate well with internal and external customers.
