About the company: My client are a medium sized dedicated Rail business focussing on electrification and plant, civil engineering, route works, station refurbishments, and OHLE/Electrical/Civil Design. They operate out of 3 regional offices and work on various projects throughout the UK. Due to the opening of a new office in Warrington and various contracts within the North West region they are now looking to take on an experience HSQE Manager.
About the Role: After acquiring several long-term projects the group are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to monitor the effectiveness of the group's safety policies and procedures and implement changes as required. Candidates will also be required to promote and provide safety and operative training to other companies on a commercial basis. Main duties will include: Carrying out inspections of all work places ensuring H & S procedures are being adhered to, assess and provide assistance to management in controlling risk to H & S, contract safety plans and method statements, maintain measures and safety reports and liaise with clients over their training needs.

About the Requirement: Successful candidates will have significant experience in the Rail/Civil Engineering industry. In order to comply with the requirements of legislation you will also have relevant H&S related qualification; and full knowledge of all relevant Health and Safety legislations, Codes of Practice and Guidance notes. Ability to forge strong relationships with clients and affiliating bodies is essential.
