Our Client is looking to recruit an Assistant Electrical Design Engineer for our office in Kirkby, Merseyside to work as part of a project team in a design office environment and become conversant with the design deliverables associated with Overhead Line Electrification and Traction Power Supply for the Railway Industry.

The Liverpool office is renowned for its innovative development, specialist software such as Dynamic Analysis and Virtual Reality Engineering.
There is a supportive team atmosphere and the opportunity to not only produce designs, but to actually see them built.
The post-holder will work in conjunction with Design Engineers and will assist in the following:

- Providing design deliverables that satisfy safety & quality requirements.
- Producing design calculations and drawings.
- Contributing to the production of design investigations, reports and specifications.
- Ensuring project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.
- Undertaking work using formal processes and procedures.
- Managing and recording time and providing time estimates for tasks.

To join the Electrification team you will be IT literate with excellent Excel and Word skills. You will also have an awareness of construction methods and materials and knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
desirable skills Ideally, you will be educated to HNC and/or Degree level in an Engineering subject with some experience in a Design office environment
