Through working extensively within the signalling function of the rail industry on a daily basis, we have identified numerous live vacancies with our clients, who range from market leading consultancies, to specialist signalling organisations to multi-disciplinary contractors and infrastructure service providers.

Recently, our work has focused on the establishment of new links and strengthening of existing relationships within various international markets.

In particular, our client base in Australia is rapidly expanding and these contacts have urgent requirements for skilled individuals within signalling.

As a result, partially due to the general shortage of talented engineers there, they are now seeking IRSE licensed individuals to work on existing projects and enable the tender of additional works.

We are currently working on the following vacancies:

Designers – Needed at all levels, from junior all the way through to Principles and Design Managers.

Testers – Needed at all levels, from Functional level through to Principles and TICs.

Project Engineers – At a mid to senior level, must have extensive experience of working on signalling projects in the past, perhaps with a more multi-disciplinary background.

Project Managers – From a signalling background, with significant experience of leading teams on substantial projects. Can have a background in any discipline within signalling, experience of management is key.

Locations for these excellent opportunities vary greatly, from huge, lively, reputable cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, to more laid back areas such as Newcastle, Lidcombe, Port Hedland, Perth and Western Australia as a whole.

Dependent on the organisation, the nature of the work varies from high profile, large scale projects to more technically challenging niche schemes.

IRSE licenses in your chosen discipline are seen as an indication of your calibre, however they are not considered to be as important as the UK market deems them.

Experience of working on varied projects, on both mainline and underground, is also a firm sign that you possess the ability to perform successfully in Australia.

In return for your skills, you can expect our clients to offer competitive remuneration and relocation packages, in line with their standing as leading organisations within the rail industry.

All organisations we are dealing with will support you throughout the visa and relocation stage of your application, while in some cases you can expect to receive company vehicles, share scheme access and generous bonus schemes.

A vital factor to consider is that working in Australia offers you the chance to broaden your experience, travel and experience a fantastic quality of life, while the remuneration packages compare favourably with equivalent positions in the UK.

Scope for future development and career progression is high, as there is always the possibility of promotions with such a vibrant market that is short on talented individuals.

If you wish to further develop your career by taking up an opportunity to work with the best, apply immediately, quoting 11882AS as a reference.

***PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OF SIGNALLING WITHIN THE RAIL INDUSTRY IS A PRE-REQUISITE***
