Working under the direction of the Commercial Manager and closely with the company's project directors and project managers you will take the lead on commercial matters on designated projects - contributing to fee bids, agreeing commercial terms and taking such measures as are necessary to secure the company's full fee entitlement. There is a role in Birmingham and one in Swindon
Key responsibilities will include:
Implement cost/change control procedures for designated projects
Assembling fee bid proposals
Procurement of sub-contract services
Preparation of progress and cost reports for management purposes
Undertaking contract/commercial risk assessments
Coordinating fees billing and debt recover for designated projects
Experience/Skills Required:
You will have proven experience in managing commercial aspects of projects. Experience of dealing with variations and claims and of preparing final accounts. Knowledge of project management, including programming is required. Experience in dealing with commercial matters in a construction contractor or consultancy environment is essential. Claim experience is desirable.
Qualifications Preferred:
RICS or HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
