Our client is UK-based and provides a wide range of contracting services to the railway industry - from projects to track renewals and specialised operations including signalling. Since its formation in 1996 it has grown rapidly and has worked hard to earn a reputation for engineering expertise, project performance, innovation and fair dealings with its customers and employees.
They currently have an urgent requirement for a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor. Based in Ashford, Kent, responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring supply contracts are in place
- Conducting valuations and variations
- Managing pricing issues
- Implementing QS systems
The successful candidate will:
- Have commercial experience on civils/construction projects for a main contractor
- Be a chartered QS or have a QS qualification
- Have proven client-facing skills
- Be a proactive, dynamic self-starter who is happy to work on site
UK rail experience, while not a prerequisite, would be an advantage.
