My client is a leading real consultancy who need a Traction Power Engineer for a £40-50k position based in London
Their electrification team specialises in providing consultancy and design services for electrification associated with rail and underground infrastructure in the UK
The key objective of the role is to work as part of the team to produce to allocated budget and programmes drawings, reports and technical specifications required for projects to allocated budget and programme
The responsibility of the Traction Power Engineer will include:
• producing traction power designs
• checking and approving drawings
• attending design review meetings
• providing technical input to designs and resolving technical issues
• writing reports
• managing the design approval process
• writing specifications
• drafting drawings
Essential:
• production of designs on a multi-disciplinary, multi location scheme
• good knowledge and usage experience of power distribution and design software
• experience of DC electrification systems designs
• task management skills: time, cost, quality, safety
• relevant engineering experience in a railway environment
• ability to use IT systems
Desirable:
• incorporated engineer/degree (or equivalent)
• application of Network Rail/LUL standards
