What is the Role?
This is a commercial role, with a major rail civil engineering contractor, with a huge work bank and secure projects going forward.
Section Quantity Surveyor
You will be involved in a variety of commercial tasks that include;
· “Input into the preparation and submission of applications for payment and follow up credit control processes to maximise income.
· Input into change control systems to assist in the identification, notification and presentation of additional items.
· Input into the documentation to support quarterly Cost to Complete exercises including costing processes and forecasting data together with monthly profit/loss Operating statements.

What Skills do I need?
You must
· “Understand and have experience in the commercial management of sub-contract orders from initial enquiry to agreement of final accounts.
· Understand Alternative Dispute resolution procedures.
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and other third parties as well as with other members of the Project Team, including engineers, supervisors, accountants, administration staff and other commercial staff. “
