The Role:
As the Contraction Manager Civils & Track you will be responsible for managing progress meetings and responsible for reporting on Construction Management issues directly to the project manager. As the Contraction Manager Civils & Track you shall monitor and report on all health and safety, quality and environmental management issues, and on the progress of the work as well as manage the delivery of information and adherence to project requirements and procedures, manage records and produce periodic reports on progress and information available on site and assume responsibility. This role is to provide the Assurance Manager with site records to assemble technical case. The role involves coordinating the contractor for the working of operational railways (NR/LUL) as well as coordinate 3rd parties with the Contractor. Undertake safety tours, inspections and audits
As a Construction Manager your skills should include:
·A degree in Civil Engineering
·Preferably a Chartered Engineer
·A minimum of 10 years previous experience on heavy civil engineering projects and a minimum of 3 years previous experience in rail and tunnel construction
·Familiarity with railway systems and construction of the civil infrastructure required for such systems
·A minimum of three years experience as a construction manager supervising the work of multidiscipline contractors
·Knowledge of industry standards, processes and project requirements
·Knowledge of industry quality standards
Eligible to obtain LUL Entry permit
This is an immediate contract position.
