Business Analyst - London - £40,000 +excellent package - Ref:781
My client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a Business and Development background and excellent analytical skills. This is a new role as a Business Analyst working alongside a new department for this prestigious contracting group.
You will be responsible for analysis of the market and be able to work with the Business Development Manager and the rest of the team to enhance growth.
You will also create market analysis and prepare investment cases and business plans for individual project propositions for the London Team.
RESPONSIBILTIES
·To undertake market and competitor assessments, including sector, volume, trend, customer and supply chain analysis.
·To analyse market data from multiple data sources and compile / present as annual Market Plan.
·To contribute to BD input into Medium Term Plan, including the definition and presentation of the Business Objectives.
·To successfully contribute to the development of investment cases and individual business cases to support internal investment case and external project proposals.
·To provide monthly resource look ahead on immediate tender prospects.
·Support the drafting of Tender Committee papers for securing internal approvals.
·To support discussion of functional strategies and provide liaison between internal departments, and manage the BD Functional Strategy.
·To co-ordinate data inputs with strategy, International Business Development and Opco's.
·To manage external consultants.
·To establish good working relationships with other BD team members.
·To willingly contribute to the overall team objectives responding quickly to new directives.
Skills
Degree or equivalent in Economics, or Business Studies or Business Analysis
Business Analysis experience ideally from a FS background or equivalent.
You will be able to exhibit success of converting analytical data into sound Market Analysis.
You will be highly numerate and have a thorough understanding of financial markets.
You will have high standards of communication and be able to present / converse at all levels.
Ideally you will come from a rail background or from a strong financial services company.
You will have full working knowledge of all Microsoft Office specifically excel and word packages.
