About the Role: Our client is seeking an Estimator to join their commercial team. Working predominately on heavy civils and utilities contracts, you will play a significant role in ensuring the company achieves its objectives through effective pricing of tender submissions. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will also work closely with other members of the commercial team and operational team. You will be responsible for all tenders, complete tender appraisals, prepare and submit prices/tender bids that are realistic to each project and also play a part in developing the junior members of the team.
About the requirements: Our client is ideally seeking an individual who has worked within the civils/utilities sector and has a solid knowledge of the market, although they will also consider candidates who would like to move into this sector. You must be able to work to strict timescales and ensure that your team are able to successfully tender for projects within the parameters of each specification. Strong communication skills are vital in order to liaise with your own team as well as other departments and clients.
