legislation Heating/Gas Engineer
This busy SE London Local Authority is urgently seeking a Heating/ Gas Engineer
Below is the Job Summary:
To carry out inspections on a regular basis of all mechanical building services (e.g. all heating plant and individual equipment, air conditioning ventilation, water potable systems ,cold water (booster station) and sewage (pumping equipment), to assist in the preparation of maintenance schedules, and to supervise contractors carrying out maintenance, renewal and replacement of Mechanical Building Services equipment throughout the Borough.
Candidate Profile:
·To have full membership of the institute of plumbing, and independent corgi registration and Full ACS qualifications in all domestic and communal systems.
·Knowledge of legislation's relevant to the job.
·Working knowledge of water Regulations and inspections of water potable systems, and recommendations for servicing and repair.
·A good knowledge and understanding of computer technology and it's applications to technical solutions.
·Extensive experience of all forms of Heating related works including maintenance, repair and installation of communal systems.
·The installation of major central heating schemes.
·Experience in dealing with problems relating to air conditioning and ventilation systems.
·Experience of dealing with maintenance, repair and installation of individual systems.
·Ability to analyze situations, define problems, produce acceptable solutions and subsequently implement, often against tight deadlines.
·Be able to organize, plan and prioritise workloads effectively and complete within tight deadlines.
·Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
·Ability to produce and implement innovative solutions to intransigent problems.
·Able to ensure the service meets the requirements of customers and front line staff
