A well estabished construction company wishes to employ an Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services Division which is responsible for delivering innovative, high quality lifecycle solutions to their customers, especially in the field of Data Centres.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The provision of technical engineering advice. Management and administration of project electrical works within programme deadlines and to a quality satisfactory with the client, returning an acceptable profit margin
2. Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction
3. Early Identification and resolution of non conformance
4. Effective communication of technical issues between project management, and other functions/support services within the project team
5. Application of engineering principles in the preparation of calculations/drawings/sketches and resolution of engineering challenges within specific knowledge areas
6. Implementing engineering systems, documentation and controls by compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Company and industry standards
7. Checking of drawings/specifications
8. Technical input when required into services, products and subcontractors
9. Effective supervision and guidance to less experienced engineering staff
10. Proven technical competence of materials and methods
11. Good understanding of commercial consequences of engineering decisions taken
12. Good understanding/application of H&S legislation
13. Computer literate
