For one of our specialist clients we have a current opportunity for Project Managers to work on a 7 year major project.
As a project manager you will be responsible for managing and controlling all site logistics operations and ensuring that the logistics package is completed on time and within budget, ensuring that all works are carried out in line with the company quality policy and meeting all site safety requirements.
As a project manager you will add significant and specific value to the process of delivering the project and you will use your project management skills to ensure a set of project-orientated management principles are applied throughout the life of project.
Duties will include liaising with senior management and the client to agree the schedule of works, assessing the risks to the package and strategies to counter any problems. Identify alterations and variations to the agreed works programme. Key duties will also be to ensure that staff levels and skillset of the workforce is in line with the project tender.
Duties will also include the following:
Financial Management - implement appropriate project cost control, collect cost data
Man Management - define clearly the responsibilities of all members of the logistics team and the limits of their authority.
Candidate Criteria:
Candidates for this position will ideally have relevant project management experience preferably within the construction environment. Candidates should be competent and financially literate with experience of working with figures.
For this position the client is looking for focused and competitive individuals who are both goal orientated with the ability to adopt an assertive leadership style.
Professional qualifications: Black CSCS card as a minimum or affiliated scheme member.
Ideally applicants will have a project management qualification (Prince 2) and be degree educated within construction or logistics.
Candidates will ideally be from a main contractor background.
